A lone figure stands on a rooftop overlooking a quiet city.

Now I love going for walks at night, I also love sci fi. the two merge together to create this. Originally the figure was going to be a superhero but then I realized a relatively generic SpecOps trooper type guy would look better and more interesting than any superhero* I could come up with and I could do him in a shorter time.

Obviously the focus here is perspective - Two points, low angled and all. When that was established I found I also needed a nice pretty sky and my usual cartoony clouds wouldn't cut it, so I played around until I got this. I'm actually pretty happy with it.
Secondarily was a lot of detail - I was trying to make the city look as interesting as possible and so I crammed as much detail as I could in.
Thirdly I tried to cut back on my usual eye-blinding colour palettes. I still like them but they don't look nearly realistic. So I used a colour scheme inspired by posters of the phenomonal movie Batman Begins.

Fun fact: the Billboard is advertising "Sepia Tones Classical Music Company"


*well maybe I could come up with a more interesting superhero, the only thing is all the good animals are taken and it would look pretty odd no matter what I did considering the tone of the rest f the piece
